saw that. so things won't be as bad as in Japan once the bubble pops for real? we'll see about that...in contrast to the always thrifty Japanese, the US savings are not savings in the traditional sense, as the stock market has become a 'savings' vehicle. a rise in the savings rate back to a more normal 5-7% from negatory would probably bring with it a global depression...
