There's the RCA Lyra player, but unfortunately, it supports some copy protection scheme and is slightly bigger than others.

Alternately, there's the audiovox player that supports mmc (sndk makes mmc too).

The Casio E-100 and 105 WinCE PDA takes a CF and makes a reasonable MP3 player (only stereo 22kHz DAC though) that can do other things too. I'm using a 96MB CF in mine.

Everyone else (including rio) supports smartmedia.

I couldn't sleep.

Mike,

The lack of CF appliances out there is a bit disappointing.
I feel that until MMC capacity increases Internet audio devices using CF such as the Lyra are desirable. I am ambivalent about the security features, especially contrasted against my Cassiopeia. I would consider waiting until Microsoft unveils the next line of Pocket PC devices before making a purchase. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the array of multimedia devices that will become available.
