As a "Software Guy", I'll be the first to extol all the
good things Microsoft and Intel have done for the industry...

Creating a standard platform has allowed the industry to consolidate and expand at an unprecedented rate,
however it is now time to move on...
Competition from AMD can only help Intel advance, and now Microsoft will be forced to face the music and allow fair competition to further advance the OS business.
