First, I am not using "natural" in a sense that implies that it ought to be, regardless of circumstance, merely that is what one would expect under those circumstances. Second, patriarchy is, in fact, practically universal, and in that sense, all that remains is to explain why it is "natural". Third, if women are generally indisposed or busy with the hearth, the burden of tribal affairs falls on the men, which is precisely what we mean by patriarchy......
