Re: "Niceguy: AMD at all-time high amid Nasdaq whacking can ***ONLY*** mean Q1 earnings and future prospects are superb! And if the stock can outperform on a down day for the market, that's even more bullish than if AMD soared on a good day for the market."

Comment: Third time in the past week that AMD has shown strength in the face of an adverse Nasdaq marketplace...Not only did AMD show strength yesterday, but as you pointed out, it established a new all-time high on one of the worst Nasdaq days on record...

The All-time high at $60-7/8, above the upper boundary of $60 of the five year trading range confirms the paradigm shift, signals a new trading range from $60 to $100, replacing the previous trading range between $54 and $60 and marks the beginning stages of the bandwagon effect...

One of the first indicators that the bandwagon effect is about to begin occurred this morning, tech Tuesday, on CNBC when their stock tech stock picker included AMD as one of his four picks as a probable outperformer over the next while...

With the close above $60 yesterday, from a technical perspective, AMD has entered an uncharted and new trading range between $60 and $100, a new trading range which is likely to be characterized by swift and exagerrated price moves...and my guess is that these probable swift and exagerrated price moves will be strongly biased towards the upside...At a time when AMD is entering the accelerating production stage with respect to its youthful champion the Athy (13 million Athys in Y2000...Y2000 revenues $5.5 billion(100% increase y/y)...Y2000 eps between $4.00 and $7.00), AMD price appears to be entering a phase of accelerating price appreciation...Seems like AMD, hitherto one of the best kept secrets in the marketplace, is about to burst onto the big stage...After all, AMD at $61, still remains a bargain at double its current price!
