Silicon Investor is a self-policing discussion site, which means that the site administrators will respond and react to e-mails received from members regarding violations..... ... the transmission of... chain letters..... ... the transmission of advertising or promotion of any product or service. .Trev, it was not I that decided to change the rules of engagements between posters on this and Gold Price Monitor thread. Someone reported me to the SI Admin for my bad mouthing others, as in it being personal attacks. Also, my off topic post about the way pigs in Hungary are used in the rural country side as a main food source. One could say that everyone has the right to exercise the option of reporting violators to SI Admin, and retaliation is not required to keep ones honor. That I was targeted did not signal to me that I should then do to all others, or those I guessed did it to me, and try and even the score or battle, or do an eye for an eye. I felt lucky to only get a warning, knowing the one who reported me wished for my membership termination. Still no problem for me at that point, as I toned down my "in 1/2 jest" towards Ron eventhought I was then & now 99.9999999% sure he did not put in the complaint to SI Admin about that sausage recipe post I did, that was deleted. Still no problem for me, as I was going too far in my joking and jesting and making fun of others. Still ok, and at that point still a status quo same old same old on the Gold Price Monitor thread, as that side thinks Barrick is ok, the other side took an opposite view. No problem, except that the GATA News quite often had Barrick painted as the very bad guy with extra black hat on black horse causing chaos & terror & damage to the gold price. Seems like the straw that broke the camel's back of the pro Barrick folks was that the good guy Bill Murphy with white hat on white horse of the great Texas state where he stands tall, except when given a side winder sucker punch to the side of the head. Bill did say that while being in profession football that he met and conquered intimidation, and was able to meet and handle anything anti gata folks decided to do to express their opinion onto him. To me then and now Bill did not put into reality all those things that he told us all as being true, that in the gold market things are fixed and unlike the football games he played, without rules and the other team wins no matter what happens. Bill did not note that his ability to handle intimidation on the football field required his knowledge of knowing what and what not those big players were allowed to do, based on the rules. Bill knew that they would cheat if the referee was not looking, but even then most all would not go to extremes. Now without rules or limits on the other side, intimidation is a mute point as now..... But back to this post's subject matter on what is allowed and not in a post on this and the Gold Price Monitor thread. When I receive the information required that allows me to post GATA News without worry of other posters on this and the Gold Price Monitor thread reporting it as a violation to SI Terms, then we all can agree to police these two threads internally and not use the SI Admin route. Until then we all obey the rules with no exceptions to any member or rule item. Fair is fair, no one singled out or punished while others allowed to break rules. Is that the GATA News self-policing is done on this & GPM thread, and not thru the SI Admin, so that those who did report me identify themselves and state that a cease & desist in effect. Doug
