I finally got some sleep.

Lexar Media will re-issue their investment prospectus.

Will it say...

"We got blown out of the water."
or
"We negotiated a reasonable settlement with SanDisk."

I understand that you can get one at...

Chase/Hambrech & Quist
One Bush Street
San Francisco, CA
94104

Would anyone be willing to call them and ask for the status and a copy of the written prospectus with photos? I would like to see if they really bootlegged the "See the Big Picture!" slogan.

Anyone have an account with Chase?
Anyone work there?
Anyone know somebody who works there?

Lexar may be dragging a bunch of companies with it into the mud. Maybe these companies will be sensible and exert pressure on the Lexar CEO to negotiate. In any case Mitsubishi appears to be painted into a corner and has decided to lash out. I now understand that Nikon is a Mitsubishi subsidiary. That explains the selection of Lexar as the supplier for the OEM bundle with the Coolpix 990. You would think that Nikon may have a friendly working relationship with SanDisk. What is the deal here? Is it just "business is business" or am I missing something?

Craig, in one of my recent posts here, I suggested that during this massacre SNDK might get as low as 50% of its top, when I walked in my office about an hour ago it was at $75, I rushed to put a "falling knives order" two bucks below, and there was no one more surprised than I when I got the confirm at $73. Absolutely crazy, and frankly, I might be sorry if this massacre continues. Personally, I think that we are putting a panic bottom in today, but I have been wrong before.
