For those interested in the "Living House", there currently is a need that is not being met. Oh well, one of these days.

there are powered lonworks devices available and being installed in europe at 220v.

just a matter of time before they come here and function at 110v.

i like the reports of 1000's of i-lon servers now shipping...and all blessed by csco. of course each server will connect and control many devices...

gotta believe elon's 33% growth rate is about to change.

Greg and William, of course you are correct, ignore is the best course. It is clear no one on this board doesn't see the troll for what he is, someone who knows nothing about ELON and less about Echelon.
This used to be a board 80% concentrated on exchanging new info or discussing existing dd for everyones mutual benefit. Interesting upcoming events:
April 20- earnings, expect no surprises, but since we are shipping servers guidance may be very intersesting.
April 18- Sun/Echelon breakfast meeting. Could be powerful, timing excellent in the middle of earnings season.
April27- annual investors mtg. Palo Alto. Since we agree Echelon is poised on the launch pad, may be the best investors mtg. ever, but we shall see.
All in all, a busy April.

hi lurqer, to take the comparison between LonWorks, CeBus and X-10 a little further, it seems that the most important points were not completely covered by the answers given. Namely that LonWorks provides a complete, end-to-end solution for control networking and CeBus and X-10 do not. LonWorks has proven to be very robust, totally reliable and easily scaleable in a way that CeBus and X-10 are not.

Sure LonWorks at this stage may be a little more expensive than the alternatives, but as always, you get what you pay for. echelon.com
