Rinse: I'm the one to say Sorry. I am reminded of the fully frustrating period when the thread became quite god-y. I kept insisting that an agreed-upon definition of our subject, god, be developed - then we could continue with the discussion. Everything I am aware of exists in a continuum. And, when I am urging that the spirit of Altruism be infused into mankind's way of life, I am met with various forms of Altruism - and my urging is for naught. Of course(!) some forms of Altruism, or of Socialism, are off-goal, off-target. But, I bet, if you specifically examined all priests, you'd find some who were not all priestly. And, somehow, as a child in Catholic School, I took on a dislike for missionaries. I didn't see why they had to go to strange lands with the purpose of changing the believes of strange folk. Same with Altruism et al. I have little, or no, desire to convert anyone to my point of view. Now, in a comfortable room, with several congenial chums, and some demon rum, there could be great fun holding an Altruism Trial. And, anyway, I am incapable of footnoting any discussion I might have - being void of Capital Letter Memory. George PS: Now I can be sorry for two things: Having false-started a discussion, and writing this very very yuchy note.
