Janet Reno is the attorney general of the United States. Her department sued Microsoft. Microsoft lost the case. There was a major ruling yesterday. Everyone is pissed at Janet Reno. Hard to believe you haven't heard about this.

Re: reference to Waco:

Janet Reno and the freedom of religion: Janet Reno didn't like a particular religious sect in Waco, Texas, so she sent in the FBI with tanks, which resulted in a fire and 80+ US citizens killed by the US government. Janet Reno took full responsibility (whatever that means)

Janet Reno and free enterprise: Janet Reno sent her troops to break up Microsoft - big bad monopoly. You can see the result in your RTQ.

I guess that's why Jim McMannis calls her Janet "Waco on Wall Street" Reno.
