Everyone is so much more connected than ever before...job-wise and economy-wise....We truly have a ripple effect... To start new companies...the money must come from somewhere. People must have funds to invest. The funds don't come off trees, nor do they come from the government (or if they do, the funds were ultimately from the taxpayer.) VC's, investors, etc....will they have as much to invest in small companies? Yesterday, $80 million dollars down. Today is not finished yet. When a "bright new talent" starts his/her career, they have a choice: a) Work in a small company (funded by investor/s), probably work 50-80 hours a week, for less salary, with the hope of potential stock options, and unsure of company stability. b) Work for a more established company, possibly better salary, probably not stock options (or small amounts of them), unsure of ultimate potential with company as many of these "wipe" out the middle and upper-middle management. c) Work for the government. Probably enough said here. d) Work on the land as our forefathers did. e) Let government take care of us....which thankfully, most here will say HA!HA!! to that notion....!! KLP
