Jim Florio a resouding defeat in the race for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat of Frank Lautenberg. Jon Corzine, a former co-chairman of Goldman Sachs, late Tuesday ran 18 percent ahead of Florio after spending more than $30 million on the primary.
