Interesting point I read from Kramer (TSCM). Options, specifically CC's in this type of market don't help you because the VIX (as doc pointed out) shoots up and the options actually go against you price wise, as the stock goes down.

Well, supposedly I just bought some AMSC, but I can't get a confirm on line. SI real time quotes are the only ones working for me, both Dreyfus and Datek are way behind. According to the SI quotes, they went through my limit order at least 10 minutes ago, but no confirm yet. Even the live brokers don't have the confirm yet.
