Art Cashin, Had an interesting pt. that Tuesday's can be big bottoming days. The Market bottomed on a Tuesday in 1929, 1987, 1962 ( the Kennedy-US Steel 30% decline) the 1997 and 1998 lows. (I need to check 1998) Art is a really classy guy, and really sharp on the market and market history. I think I used to get research notes from him in the first half of the 80's from MER. I remember Steve Shobin was definitely at MER back then and he did and still does really great work as well. gee that was a quick 80 pt rally in the SPX... is everyone still strapped in? -vbg- John
