Betty, I think the inflow will surpass the outflow. Most people that are left with "tax liabilities" pay quarterly, but make their 401 k decisions in one bunch. Furthermore, there is also a lot of 401 k money going directly from corporations on behalf of employees, and this has no taxation problems. Add to that a big bolus of liquidity from Japan's Postal and reduction in uncle Sam debt, and you have sloshing liquidity.
