That explanation from Lexar in preparation for their IPO will be interesting. It could go something like this:

"Ahem, thank you potential Lexar Investors. We at Lexar in preparation for our IPO feel we must disclose recent legal events. As you all may already know, Lexar and Sandisk have been engaged in court over various Patent issues. We at Lexar feel that since we have obviously violated certain Patent Laws, we feel that the Patent itself is not valid.

Thank you. This will be our defense in the upcoming trial. Now then, back to business, where's our $1 Billion in IPO $$ money? Come on, where is it? Hey! Where are you all going?

Binx, Thanks for the post about the Lexar IPO.

I e-mailed Andrew MacLellan, the staff writer of the piece you linked, on Sunday night to let him know about the court decision. He has followed SanDisk's legal battles for some time and is very objective in his evaluations.
