Use leeps in place of Margin. If markets go up 20-30% from an existing high take profits.

Mtnlady - did exactly the same thing. I guess we all learned about jumping in to these things a little too early. Started buying last Wednesday. Went from 3% margin to like 35% today and will be doing the same thing as you if it works that way - selling off the trading stocks, reducing margin and keeping the keepers. Ended up ahead on the day, but agree this bears watching.

I suppose one good thing is that practically every stop order on the books had to be taken out today. Suspect we are in for quite a bit more volatility next week until earnings start in abundance.
