BGR,

Small point:

I think today proves something about markets and the potential for value investing.

Either the Nasdaq was undervalued at 12:30 PM or overvalued at the close, but clearly it wasn't efficient all day long.

BGR, how often do you have to be told that "long term" from 1929 meant waiting until something like 1956 to get even again, and "long term" in 1973 (factoring inflation) meant something like 1985 to get even again. Or longer. Until the second law of thermodynamics kicks in for good, the general course of human civilization has been a gradual upward spiral, but the retrograde intervals have been extreme, one of them lasting over a thousand years in European civilization. Maybe you should go read some texts in Bengali that tend to propagate genuine wisdom. I am sure that there are many such.
