It is called psychology - be ahead of the curve or the herd. Still need to factor Greenspan into this - he has done nothing but talk wealth effect, May 17th could see an additional rate hike. Many top economists are calling for an overheated market - it just did not hit some of us to see it at the top. Greed can get in the way. (did I say can!). Hard to call tops, just like it is hard to call bottoms, I would rather catch either in the middle. Not that I am down on the market, just that I believe in the preservation of what I worked so hard to achieve, capital.
