More competition: "BT's, AT&T's Concert to invest $2 billion" cbs.marketwatch.com Internet data centers are becoming the holy grail of the new economy. Announcements like this from these behemoth companies just confirm the EXDS model. After all, AT&T is such a great Internet company that they are unable to provide technical support for their consumer Worldnet service if you happen to use Windows NT. And the old monopoly British Telecom has likely missed the Internet boat in both retail and business markets and is struggling to keep up in the face of more nimble non-bureaucratic competition. Their solution to any business opportunity is simply to pour money at it and ask questions later.
