The parade of bears appearing on CNBC lately is a good contrarian indicator. The reporting about Nasdaq having support at certain levels and then if it breaks though, there is another level surely affect the market. It gets the daytraders involved, taking out people limits, causing further selling.

Once we start seeing the usual bulls show up on tv (as soon as they finish buying!!), it will mean the CNBC reporters will start talking about new highs. It is only a matter of a week or so. The momentum swings are extreme.

Considering how good the news on JDSU was, I would think it not going down at the very minimum.

The analyst just on CNBC answered a callers question about when to buy XYZZ, Inc. with "Wait until it gives the buy signal"?

What??? Is that like the secret handshake? Which buy signal.

I am glad I picked up more JDSU at 101.

I dumped my ETEK today at 174+ on the way down to 145, but later bought the equivalent amount of JDSU at 99-9/16 on the second dip. Could've done better.

Today is one of those days that you're glad your e-broker doesn't have a "Sell All At Market" button...

No, those experts are not dumb asses. They either want to talk you out of your stocks or want to talk you into their stocks. They don't become experts without cheating you out of your money! How else can they beat the indices?
