Instinet uses their friggin power

I don't really understand the negativity towards INCA. I personally would like to know who is behind that INCA order, but if you were an MM with 100k shares to short, would you want to advertise that to the world? Sometimes I wonder why MM's advertise themselves at all. For example LEHM was selling CTXS all day yesterday. It was very obvious. Why would he do that? Any thoughts...?

Instinet uses their friggin power over everyone else to steer the market where they want it to go because they are the only ECN that can hide orders.

And because of that, that's where all the "big boys" hang out. It won't be that way forever, INCA and the "good ole boys" network will fight it to the end but eventually they will lose out and we will all see the order book.

IMHO, of course.
