Yes, Naz put in a bottom today.

The following is taken from Larry Wachtel's Closing Market COmmentary:

"The characteristic usually seen at a bottom were present. We had record volume of 2.6 billion shares of the NASDAQ and 1.5 billion shares on the exchange. We had record volatility and extreme option indicators.

At the bottom today, the NASDAQ had fallen 25% from its March 10th high. Of course, it had gained 25% up to its high watermark after gaining 85% last year. In effect, NASDAQ had moved to excess and has corrected a good part of that excess. It was simply too easy to make money.

While the Internet Index and the Semiconductor Index returned from the nether regions they were still lower on the day. Microsoft fell as much as seven points before retrieving to a two point decline. Intel was able to eke out a point sized gain, while Qualcomm gained six and Dell a point.
