TLC,

Just got a cold call solicitation from a brokerage firm that shall remain nameless...

This young fellow (judging by his voice) wants to give me a good deal, something for nothing, so to speak.

Seems as though if I deposit $100K with his brokerage firm, they'll credit me with $200K with which I can buy (and sell) most stocks. Some stocks carry restrictions, but he says I don't have to buy those restricted stocks if I don't want to. Sounds good so far, right? Now get this. He starts talking about interest rates and stuff. Can you imagine that? On top of giving me twice as much credit as what I deposited, they're going to pay me interest as well! Sort of like a money market thing I guess. I never heard of nothing like this before. He called it a margarine account (I think). Maybe that's where the term greasin' my palm comes from. But what do I know.

Anyway, you and your Cousin are smart doods. What should I do?
