<<That's just plain silliness, IMO. Do you think Noam and Co. are watching the stock and doing things to prop it up? >>

You betcha your bottom dollar I do Sector, I believe exactly that.

IMO the timing of the latest 2 news releases from the company are undoubtedly an attempt to stem the selling that has overtaken not only MRVC but the whole tech sector.

In prior, recent times, the announcement that the company had "delivered its first large revenue order" would only have come out during the cc. I also note that there was no mention of the customer; there was no mention of the dollar amount; there was no mention of whether the system had been "installed", was "operational", or "working", only that it had been "delivered". Contrast with the recent Juniper announcement that their system [paraphrasing: do not have text readily available] has been deployed in someones network. Why not? Is MRVC really subject to contractual contraints that prevent them from releasing such information? Hell no. Nobody else is. They are simply struggling with their old mentality that says, "Don't let the competition have any clue about where we are at, how our marketing is doing, or how well our products are doing in the market place. Let's sneak up on them." Again IMO Noam has a lot to learn about press releases designed to prop up the stock.

But there is no question in my mind that that is what they did. And to their credit. Companies do it all the time. And I am NOT a believer in conspiracy theories.

Sector,

Re. "That's just plain silliness, IMO. Do you think Noam and Co. are watching the stock and doing things to prop it up? "

I certainly hope so...As a long time MRVC holder, I am sadden by the fact the Noam and company has missed a golden opportunity to grow MRVC leveraging the valuation when MRVC commands a premium near 200/sh. Noam and company has never been open about the plan for spinning off the IPOs (Zaffire, Charlotte's Web,..) to shareholders, the people who foot the bill. To me the sell off is a vote in lack of confident in MRVC management. Noam may have the technical vision but his lack of communication opens MRVC to so much guess works in the investment community that MRVC will take a nose dive even in the weakest rumor (remember Mr. Pink?). I may be a little bitter here but I invite anybody to share the plan from MRVC for the IPO plan, the company vision, etc.. We, the shareholders, need a CEO which will provide the definite business plan as why MRVC is worthy of a higher valuation than it is today and a CEO who can communicate that vision to the investment community.

Regards,

Sector: I respect your opinions and especially about MRV. However, one cannot help but notice the timing of these
anouncements - is it coincidence, perhaps, but it certainly merits a look IMO. Also, you obviously did not catch the CNBC news story yesterday about some IPO's being delayed due to the current market situation? This stuff is exactly what happens and for an old adage "timing is everything". In MRV's case, this is the case regarding their announcements, I believe.
