I need to invoke a C function from a bourne shell script
which takes an argument by reference. What is the syntax
of the call from the shell script?

Speaking of HIGH, JC, I hope you're not planning on buying into tomorrow's high, whatever that may be. You know, a huge dip like from 5100 to 3600 will have to be "tested" before the "pros" are willing to put serious money back into the market. I've "ducked" out of sight with my own money, waiting for this upcoming buy opportunity. Study the 1998 slump or the 1987 if you want an example. A sharp dive to a low followed by a sharp rise. Then? Hmm, is this rise for real? Maybe not... So the market drifts back down to the low, then begins the true next bullish phase...

In other words: I'd advise everyone to wait at least a few days to see if the NASDAQ is going to drift back to 3600 to see if that is really a bottom. I'd be surprised if we simply rally from here...
