Taxman,

Now I'm getting angry at you. Selling puts IS equivalent to buying calls in that they are both bullish strategies. The risk profile on selling puts is equal to that of selling covered calls.

I am going to ask you to stop responding to others' posts by calling their statements "false". By the way, this may be the reason you feel that no one listens to you here. I mean this with kindness.

"Selling puts is equivalent to buying calls"

please forgive me. i don't mean to be rude but this is absolutely false.

I cannot disagree with you more.

The above statement is true. Both are bullish strategies. In addition if you look at the premium, there is a correlation between the call premium and the put premium with certain variables included such as present value.
