INSP vs PHCM vs AOL vs MSFT???

Can any LONG thoroughly explain the differences between these companies and INSP. Seems to me that the deals that INSP have are not exclusive/binding deals. Seems everyone of these companies have deals with GTE, Vodafone, etc... Look at PHCM. They are also reaching into INSP territory along with everyone else. Everyone mentions barriers to entry but this seems cloudy to me. Pending Patents? To be truthful anyone can have a patent pending but what is it exactly for, can it be protected, and what is it worth?

Can someone explain things better to me. I am Long but contemplating if I am looking at INSP through rose colored glasses. The exact differences between these companies and their attack on wireless is a bit shady to me. (I know that INSP is approaching this as a private label strategy but is that the most strategic vs. the others?)

Thanks to any Long who replies. Of these companies I only own INSP.
