it certainly IS an irrational situation...imo the whole rise in the NAZ from October '98 is an irrational situation.
stocks are just pieces of paper...they have long ago lost any connection with reality, except the reality of the soaring money supply. otherwise this is just like trading collectibles back and forth. the example with the 100,000 dollar dog that is traded in for two 50,000 dollar cats comes to mind at times...
