"Galaxy Internet Services Inc. of Newton, Mass. sued America Online in federal court in Boston, charging that AOL 5.0, the version of its software launched in October, blocks its subscribers from using other Internet service providers."

Wow. How often we see in child abuse cases when we find that the abusers were often abused themselves when young.

That's exactly what MSFT did to AOL, Compuserve and Prodigy when Win95 first came out. Of course, we all know that AOL eventually caved to MSFT and installed their browser under the AOL banner (it still showed up on site logs as IE though - MSFT suddenly became a major browser overnight!).

Anyone who tries that kind of thing should be sued.
