The Company announced record sales for the year of $12,126,000, up 48% from sales of $8,201,000 in 1998, despite a weakening in market prices in the first half of 1999 and the lower exchange rate of the U.S.$ to the Euro. Sales for the fourth quarter 1999 were $4,276,000 up by 74% over sales of $2,458,000 for the fourth quarter 1998. The Company attributed the increase to obtaining new customers in the North American market. The exceptional growth in the fourth quarter of 1999 reflects the very strong increase in market demand and the resulting higher prices.
