SUBJECT: TRADE ALERT FOR AGGRESSIVE SPECULATORS

INTERNATIONAL WAYSIDE GOLD MINES LTD. (IWA-CDNX)

ROLLING THE DICE ON A DRILL HOLE.

*********************************************************
Every so often a situation comes along that I have a gut feeling for,
but nowhere enough information to make a formal recommendation. Most
times I just trade these situations in my own account, but now I've
decided to share a couple of these ideas with you and see where the
pieces fall. Be advised that these are very high-risk speculations
and there will be some losses incurred. There is no need for you to
play this game, and you shouldn't unless you enjoy it and can afford
it.

INTERNATIONAL WAYSIDE GOLD MINES LTD. (IWA) is this type of
situation. The company is run by its president, Frank Callaghan.
Colorful and hard working, Frank is one of the most well liked mining
stock promoters in the business. For the past several years he has
been drilling away on IWA's Cariboo Gold Project near Wells, British
Columbia, adjacent to the historic mining town of Barkerville in
north central British Columbia. Even though several hundred drill
holes have indicated a resource of over one million ounces of gold,
the story and the stock have been unexciting. Unexciting until last
week that is!

Last week, core and sludge assays from two holes of an ongoing drill
program returned several intersections of high grade gold
mineralization over significant widths including: In drill hole BC2K-
3, core assays returned 20.0 feet at 0.18 ounce per ton gold
(ozt/gold) and 24.5 feet at 0.27 ozt/gold. In drill hole BC2K-8,
drill sludge assays returned 40 feet of 0.92 ozt/gold. Check core
assays are awaited for this hole as well as several others recently
completed in the new discovery zone.

Sludge assays are from sampling the drill cuttings as the hole is
being drilled. What has caught my eye and that of the market is how
close the sludge assays and the core assays match in drill hole BC2K-
3. Drill hole BC2K-8 has a 40 foot intersection that sludge assays
returned almost one ounce gold per tonne. The market is betting that
core assays will confirm this number, which would indicate a new high-
grade gold deposit has been discovered in a new type of
mineralization on the Cariboo Gold Project property.

On this speculation the stock has risen from the $0.50 range to
$1.50, closing 03 April at $1.38. I placed a moderate bet that it is
going higher at $1.40. Why do people play these games? The answer is
simple, that's what speculating in mining stocks is all about. One-
ounce gold assays over more that 10 feet are very rare. If you're in
this game, you have to take a shot at them when they come along.

I always think of these speculations in terms of dollar amount,
rather than number of shares. Then I think of possible percentage
gain or loss. IWA could go to $5.00 with a few more good holes. If
they miss, you could lose one third of your money in a few trades. If
you can afford to lose $1500, a three to five thousand dollar wager
is in the ballpark. If we get real lucky, that wager will turn into a
longer term investment.

A complete description of the drilling and the implications of the
discovery can be accessed at <http://www.stockscape.com/link.cfm?
entryid=82>. For this report, however, I want to stick with the human-
interest aspect of the story. The best way to do that is by
reproducing an article about the discovery from the front page of the
April 3 edition of the George Cross Newsletter. This a daily
newsletter covering the entire spectrum of Canadian resource and
speculative stocks. It has been in continuous publication since 1948.

Russett, Elizabeth,

Give up your infantile anti-NDP diatribe. I'm sure there's a thread somewhere for disciples of Conrad Black. Please go there with your childish rants.

In the meantime, if you have anything bright or pertinent to add to the discussion of our gold company, please do so.

(Must make you simply cringe that the company's symbol is IWA, acronym for BC's largest union. Are the commies behind this one, too? Is it a signal of a satanic takeover?)

GLTUA,
Marcman
