I found this on Yahoo. Yahoo only allows so much room. So the letter is abbreviated.

<<The National Governors Association has come out for the first time in 4 kyl bills as well-

In a letter to both judiciary committee chair henry hyde as well as ranking minority member John Conyers, Jr., BOTH the Chairman, Utah governor, Michael Leavitt, and Vice Chairman, Maryland Governor, Perris Glendening wrote:

"Dear Mr. Chairman and Ranking Member Conyers:

On behalf of the national Governors' Association, we are writing to express our interest in H.R. 3125, the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act. We appreciate your efforts ....

We would also like to urge you to maintain the exemptions currently included in H.R. 3125 for state lotteries when lawful wagers are placed either at a facility that is open to the general public or when the person placing the wager uses an individualized name and password. We understand that there may be efforts to strip the bill of these provisions, and we encourage you to oppose such attempts. States possess the authority to regulate gambling within their own borders and must continue to be allowed to do so. An incursion into this area with respect to online gambling would establish a dangerous precedent with respect to gambling in general as well as broader principles of state sovereignty."

Everyone ought to send a message to their governor noticing the National Governor's Association's recent support to maintain the state lottery exemptions in the bill and applauding your governor's actions and support of this position. This would not be bad place to also mention (if you so feel) that you hope the governor chooses to allow you to access your state's lottery over the web soon>>

Also this morning's press release didn't make it onto SI yet. I guess, for now, so what if U.S. legislators drag their feet. Also I have no margin debt. So I can ride this thing out. I was planning on cooling it until the end of August anyway. I would use this as a buying opportunity.
