Jerry,

Just thought I would comment:

<< A few weeks ago I sold all of my CREE >>

Sold balance of mine today and stocked more EMC/NTAP.

My portfolio is remarkably similar to yours with the exception of the fact that I split my storage dollars between SAN/NAS and throw in a little SEBL. I got out of WIND at end of 99 (a good play however and still high on my watch list).

My gamble of course is that GMST (12.5% of my portfolio) will be the gorilla we expect it to be. With that exception, my 9 stock retirement portfolio is made up entirely of gorillas and kings.

Yesterday certainly reinforced my thinking about the sanity and relative safety of playing the gorilla game. I feel fortunate that I survived the events of the day unscathed, and actually wound up a bit ahead of the game by doing a little lucky tweaking along the way. If I leave a bit on the table as a result of rather strict observance of the Rules of the Game we play, it is worth it, for the restful nights sleep it provides.

As a sanity check, I just noticed that the NAZ is up 2.5% YTD and our G&K Y2K Index is up 20.7%:

That is not too shabby for adhering to a relatively conservative tech investment style, IMO.
