VERT took a position in this yesterday ... think it will break back to the upside once it clears the high at 51.50

Hi Ed. Hear ya. Its a good time to examine what you are doing. If you have good companies, just hold them. If you are overly concentrated in very speculative stocks, time to step back, take some losses, imo, and re-position into better quality companies. Try this. pretend you have 100K or whatever your portfolio is. and it was all cash today. what would you do? what would you buy? losses are losses whether realized or not, imo. but panic is the biggest danger of all. most times sales in panic mark lows and would have been great buys. walks are good. today we are likely to see a good snap-back rally, perhaps one of mega proportions. this would not change the fact that there are some fundamental shifts going on in the market. the highly speculative stocks are OUT OF FAVOR. they are not just going to come back. and old economy stocks will have a sustained move, they are good buffers and great intermediate term investments. good luck. larry
