Lets hope the lessons are well learned. I got spanked october 1998 and learned from my mistakes. I owned stocks and kept buying and buying and then when the hit bottom I sold. I sold SAWS at about 12 which is 4 split adjusted now. I sold VLSI at 8. What I took from the experience is buy what you know and believe in. When the markets rally take profits and dont chase the stock du jour. My stocks I bought in the last three weeks are all even or up desptite 20% decline in market. Why? Because I bought stocks like HIFN, QCOM,AMGN that had bases and had sold off. They also had all the negative news built in. The one exception is DITC, which will be a monster and is holding up nicly. For the month since NAZ hit a high and plumeted I am actually up. Lessons learned from OCT 98:)
