no...i think the MET offering was ten times as much. it's the biggest IPO ever.

Close enough. MET was 2.9 billion as I recall, but that cash got spent before today. Frankly, I don't think MET is going to have all that much of a difference in our short term course here since people made decisions to buy in and allocate X funds to it a while ago.

It is taht damn PPT goosing futures and everyone counting on it. I posted a link about an individual investor poll taken yesterday. Way over 80% of respondents said they would just sit tight and ride it out - about 1/2 of those said they were concerned but not doing anything, the other half said they weren't all that concerned and the market would bounce back. You need to shake these guys up but the PPT will never let that happen.
