Ram, I think you pretty well described the causes for yesterday's chaos. One thing I learned was that it's not always possible to respond quickly and try to trade when the panic is on. My on-line account was jammed with traffic and would not respond to my buy/sell orders, and my broker's phone lines were jammed so I could not get through. Talk about a helpless and aggravating feeling! Mesanwhile, there are rumblings on Yahoo that we may not be far from the next PO, which, if it comes, will maybe get us out of this gutter where the stock doesn't belong. - T -
