God! God! God! Good Lady!

We strike with different mallets at different balls.

One. OK, you are not gabby. You speak with enviable precision.

Two. Altruism, what is it? Here we face opposite walls. You, and here is where the whole idea of slicing and defining causes havoc, claim it requires deprival, pain, harm, a negative result - on the part of the Altruistor.

I say bs. It need not require deprivation of any sort. It simply refers to 'no discernable personal gain.'

Three. Serious discussions. I prefer, at this particular time at least, a ping-pong, rather than an a-bomb, approach to differences in attitude. (For example, our different responses to the word Altruism could lead to great blood-shedding and hostility. Silly. Yes, very Silly.)

Four. Value of DEEDS/libertarianism. You seem caught in a web of "measurability". What, How, When, Why is MEASURABILITY a standard, criteron, whatever, that is vital to our mental/philosophical/spiritual state-of-being?

You are the sweetest, and most open-minded, and considerate of all beings,

George
