Good question! I wonder if you would plant it or root it the way I do my avocado seeds. I suspend them in a glass of water half submerged. I place three toothpicks around the seed to keep it in place in the glass. I would love to try the mango in this manner.

Yes on that mango question. I have one that I started last year. I ate the mango and let the seed dry for a couple of days. I then separated the shell and took out the seed. Lay it flat in potting soil, cover and put in a warm window. I don't remember how long it took to sprout... Keep damp but not wet. Seems to need really good rich soil or it stops growing. Something with time release fertilizer... Good luck.
