Reason for above statement is because I have been getting entertained by one of the major houses recently to transfer my Schwab and TD Waterhouse accounts to them. This guy was their Number 1 guy outside the US and is pretty sharp.Has a list of clients like Kerry Packer(for the past 15 years). He told me about three weeks ago, when the nas was around 4900+ to take money of the table(I posted it on the GG board).I did not listen to him and got smashed like everyone else.I asked him last week how he predicted that and he went on to say something about an inhouse program which is highly accurate. He spoke to me this morning and said we have hit bottom and if I am looking to buy its a good time.
Hence, I went of to the golf course and had a hell of a singles match.

Voltaire,
From the UK lurker section of this Porch, I hear on BBC news that the London stock market has finally been able to open. "Due to a computer problem", the market was closed this morning-obviously a major event here. Today is similar to April 15 in USA for tax returns. There is talk of keeping the market open later tonight to make up for the loss of trading time. Interesting to see what impact this has for USA tomorrow. Obviously, it also is interesting to wonder why the problem occurs day after US market volatility. Worth sucking on a straw and musing ....
Thanks for the terrific insight and occasional sanity checks provided here from you and so many others! mitzi
