CMGI, uBid Deal Gets Antitrust Approval

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- CMGI Inc. (CMGI) and uBid Inc. (UBID)
received antitrust approval Tuesday for their $407 million
stock-for-stock merger.
According to the Federal Trade Commission, the companies received
early termination of the waiting period required under the Hart-Scott-
Rodino Act.
Under the terms of the deal, CMGI will issue 0.2628 of a share for
each common share of uBid, valued at $31.67 each, as reported.
UBid is an online auction e-commerce site based in Chicago. CMGI,
Andover, Mass., manages and invests in Internet companies.
