Agree. How about EMLX which was #1 tech stock of the year drop from 225 to 54. There is no value, only after the stock 'dies' and you got out at the highs. Value lies in getting the stock at the cheapest price you can get it. Value lies at counting your profits at days end or after a 1-2 day hold. The cash you end up with is value. Value has no connection with the stocks actual valuations. If the sector is not in favor it could be undervalued for 5 years and stay that way. The only exception is not to knock yourself out and lose before you even start by getting companies with no earnings altogether.

The individual investor and market gives the stock value. Value is getting a $50,000 Blackgamma sable coat for $4,439.22. That is value.
Value is not getting it at $51,000 because its a great coat and everyone wants the 'status' of owning it.
