Lessons learned. How many of you bought NTBK recently? Not many. How many got into those 'great' bank stocks for more than 1 or 2 week? Now that the nasdaq is coming back don't you notice the moves are up to 25% and more daily. How long did you have to hold PFE for 25%? I would not be a holder of the 'new economy' now either. I would buy for a week or two to park the money but if the nasdaq is moving so much off its lows, its more attractive as a day or swing trade. But if you get your double digit profit in one or two days you've done fine. I have about 10% invested now and about 25% of my liquid assets gets traded daily in day or swing trades (up to 2 days lately). That's up 5% and its a lot of money for me but its pretty conservative since I am underextended. The rest is in 5-7% interest bearing cash accounts. First week of March I had about 18% invested and traded about 20% of my assets. From beginning of January to Mid February I had about 35% invested (when the biotechs were surging and I had about 14 tech stocks (6 Israeli and and 8 American).. I posted when I got out of most positions.
