Good point. But I still don't see any reason for the bill to be written to give the mother sole decision making authority. It could just as easily be written with language of "a parent" instead of the mother. Yes it is the ricochet potential that I am most concerned with.

Now we are looking at children much older than a dumpster baby, right? I have a feeling that this is the tip of the iceburg. This idea seems to me to have far reaching potential and that is why I like the idea but don't want to see a bill rushed through under the guise of saving a dumpster baby.
