It is much more touchy feely- for one thing, you can sit a human down in front of you and experiment on it and get data that is meaningful (maybe, if you are lucky)- provided you've set up a reasonably defined experiment. Too many variables in society to get much meaningful data from anything. We can draw inferences but they are (imo) always suspect.

Natural law is mystical magical mumbo jumbo- you can't point to anything repeatable and say, "Look a natural law"- it isn't like dropping an apple on your head to demonstrate gravity. Unless you are saying you think natural law is simply Utilitarianism- which it ISN'T- but your post could certainly be construed that way.
