G* Canada PR announcing special "spring" rates:

April 3, 2000
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario -- Globalstar Canada, a satellite-based
telecommunications system, today announced a spring pricing promotion that
will lower the price of monthly access and the satellite airtime charges by up
to 25 per cent.

"With recent developments in the market, we felt this was an opportune time to
introduce an added incentive for Canadians to join the Globalstar network,"
said Peter White, general manager of Globalstar Canada. "At the same time,
we are rewarding existing customers who've been early adopters of the
service."

Effective April 1, Globalstar Canada is offering up to 25 per cent off all its
plans:

This promotion, running until July 20, will be available to all existing and new
customers who sign up between April 1 and May 15.

"Since our commercial launch in February, the customer response has been
strong," said White. "In one month we've secured customers in all of our
targeted vertical markets and we now want to build on that strong momentum."

With only 10 per cent of Canada covered by cellular service, many Canadians
involved in the mining, forestry and oil and gas industries spend significant
amounts of time in remote areas outside cellular range where landline coverage
is unavailable. Portable, reliable communications is vital for individuals in these
industries, and Globalstar has designed its satellite service to meet their
needs. <snip>
