bobby, how long is long? We've all been there done that etc. I had CSCO for years and others in the past.. I'm not looking for holding until 2005. Maybe that's because and (probably because) I have a relatively stable income and business. I can also appreciate the long term trade, but I can't appreciate holding stocks that 50% off their highs. I think stocks move much further than in the 'old days' and I don't mean any sector besides tech. I don't even like the nets any longer. I made my haul in the net sector and I'm barely trading there. My focus is on stocks that are relatively new, still earning triple digit or their net has doubled and will double this quarter. I have at least 50 stocks of these written down.. I usually hold an earnings play from 5 days to 3 months, but things changed in the last few weeks and I'm not one to swim against the tide. My Israeli tech porfolio is basically what you are describing, but I sold my Israeli tech stocks and rebought some of them and added some more AMDEX after they fell, (but only AFTER they showed signs of life)..

This is not daytrading. Its sound keeping track of your portfolio without 'pat phrases' that worked in the past. Tech stocks did not sell off 50% in the past, except in October. And what happened in October? We came in, perhaps as scavengers, but so be it, and enjoyed a feast in the sector that lasted nearly 6 months.

bobby,<buying on the dips over the Long run has proven to be the most effective method>....no doubt about it, all the smart money has done it and still will!! Folks, what do you think yesterday was all about-just day traders??? It may have been the dip of the year. Short term, intermediate term, long term.....go for it.
