Well, I think they will. They generally take the road of least responsibility. Responsibility requires decision making and planning. This way they can put off any kind of decision until the baby arrives. The state sanction makes it a much more viable alternative for women nearing full term than planned adoption, keeping unwanted babies, or medical procedures.
