Jeff,

> What happened to the "quiet period" before earnings?

I don't think SEC imposes any quiet period. It's mostly self imposed and doesn't mean that much.

> PS, nice artwork Goutama , kind of reminds me of Cyrix M-2 logo.......

Thank you.

I guess today was similar to yesterday, sans midday dip. New closing high and new all time high.

Also to whomever is the keeper of the earnings estimate tally: My "scoping guess" of $0.69 was made approx. February 10, 2000 and not March 1 when I suspect you started the list.

re: "What happened to the "quiet period" before earnings?"

Perhaps this really is the quiet period before earnings. Do expect a lot of selling on the news; no matter what it is. I have not clue. Much depends on how enormous start up expenses show up in accounting practices. Depreciation will also be large. The most relevant "handle" will probably be cash flow but, even that will not give a good clear picture. The CC should be interesting.

Mean while inteL is "throwing all the money in the world" at the problem of catching up to and surpassing a team that about three years ago was a year behind them and as recently as one year ago was arguably almost six months behind. That very same team or set of teams is now racing to make their lead decisive. "WHO KNOWS" what is in store, only the shadow do.

Regards,
